Hands-On Biodiesel Brewing Class – Sat Nov 8 – Anchorage

$49 fee – $39 for AUU Fellowship members.

Join us for a hands-on all-afternoon class to learn how to gather quality used vegetable oil, test it for production, and make your own biodiesel to take home.

Registration is required, class size is limited, and the course fee includes the use of all safety equipment, lab supplies and ingredients for a test batch.

It is recommended, though not required, that students attend the Backyard Biodiesel Basics presentation on Sunday November 2nd in Eagle River.

Biodiesel Educator Will Taygan provides an overview on how to make any diesel petroleum-free. Participants will explore the science behind biodiesel and SVO (Straight Vegetable Oil) systems, compare emissions, learn how to collect oil responsibly, and watch biodiesel being made.

$5 parking for non-members – no registration required.
